ASSUMPTION OF RISK, RELEASE OF LIABILITY, AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT 1. ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF RISK. I understand that participation in shooting sports, hunting, and related activities at Back40 Sportsman's Club (the "Club"), located at 16409 State Hwy M, Lawson, Missouri 64062 (the "Property"), involves inherent and significant risks. These risks include, without limitation: discharge of firearms; ricochet, fragmentation, and blowback of projectiles and target material; exposure to lead, noise, and airborne particulates; mechanical failure of firearms, ammunition, or equipment; falls from elevated hunting stands; contact with wildlife, insects, and plants; uneven and unimproved terrain; adverse weather; operation of vehicles and equipment on the Property; and the negligent acts or omissions of other members, guests, or third parties. I understand that these risks may result in property damage, minor injury, catastrophic and permanent injury, disability, or death. 2. VOLUNTARY ASSUMPTION OF RISK. I have read and understand the risks described above. I am participating voluntarily and with full knowledge of these risks. I expressly and knowingly assume all such risks, both those described above and those not specifically described, whether foreseeable or unforeseeable. 3. RELEASE AND WAIVER. In consideration of being permitted to enter and use the Property, I release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue the Club, its officers, directors, members, employees, volunteers, agents, landowners, and lessors (collectively, the "Released Parties") from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, damage, injury, or death sustained by me or my property while on the Property or participating in any Club activity, WHETHER CAUSED IN WHOLE OR IN PART BY THE ORDINARY NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASED PARTIES OR OTHERWISE, to the fullest extent permitted by the laws of the State of Missouri. 4. INDEMNIFICATION. I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from any loss, liability, damage, cost, or expense, including reasonable attorneys' fees, that they may incur as a result of my presence on the Property, my participation in Club activities, the conduct of any guest I bring onto the Property, or my breach of the Club Rules. 5. MEDICAL TREATMENT AND EMERGENCY CONTACT. I authorize the Club and its representatives to arrange for emergency medical treatment on my behalf if I am injured and unable to consent, and I accept financial responsibility for the cost of that treatment. I confirm that the emergency contact information I have provided is accurate and current. 6. FITNESS AND CAPACITY. I represent that I am physically and mentally fit to participate, that I am not under the influence of alcohol, cannabis, or any impairing substance while on the Property, and that I am not prohibited by federal, state, or local law from possessing a firearm or ammunition. 7. COMPLIANCE WITH RULES AND LAW. I have read, understand, and agree to abide by the Club Rules as they exist today and as they may be amended, and by all applicable federal, state, and local firearms, hunting, and trespass laws and Missouri Department of Conservation regulations. I understand that my membership may be suspended or permanently revoked, without refund, for violation of the Club Rules. 8. FIREARMS AND AMMUNITION RESTRICTIONS. I agree to observe all posted caliber, ammunition, and target restrictions, including prohibitions on steel-core, armor-piercing, incendiary, and tracer ammunition, and on the use of any firearm or load not approved for the range in use. I specifically acknowledge that the Club's AR500 steel targets may be engaged only with lead-core ammunition at a muzzle velocity below 3,000 feet per second, and that armor-piercing rounds, steel-core rounds, and higher-velocity magnum rifle loads may not be fired at them under any circumstances. I understand that violating this restriction damages the target in a manner that increases the risk of fragmentation injury to myself and to others on the firing line. 9. GUESTS AND MINORS. I accept full responsibility for the conduct and safety of any guest I bring onto the Property. I understand that guests must be signed in, must remain under my direct supervision at all times, and must execute their own waiver. Minors under the age of eighteen must be under the direct, arm's-length supervision of a sponsoring adult member at all times. 10. PHOTOGRAPHY AND LIKENESS. I grant the Club permission to use photographs and video recordings in which I appear, taken on the Property during Club activities, for the Club's noncommercial promotional purposes. I may withdraw this permission at any time by written notice to the Club. 11. PROPERTY, GATE ACCESS, AND CREDENTIALS. I understand that any gate code or electronic credential issued to me is personal, non-transferable, and may not be shared. I accept responsibility for any entry made using my credential and agree to report a lost or compromised credential immediately. 12. SEVERABILITY AND GOVERNING LAW. If any provision of this Agreement is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Venue for any dispute shall lie in Ray County, Missouri. 13. ENTIRE AGREEMENT AND ACKNOWLEDGMENT. This Agreement is the entire understanding between the parties regarding its subject matter and supersedes any prior oral or written representations. I HAVE READ THIS AGREEMENT IN FULL. I UNDERSTAND THAT BY SIGNING IT I AM GIVING UP SUBSTANTIAL LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING THE RIGHT TO SUE. I SIGN IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY, WITHOUT INDUCEMENT.

THE FOUR RULES 1. Treat every firearm as if it is loaded, every time you pick it up, without exception. 2. Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy. Muzzles stay downrange or vertical at all times. 3. Keep your finger off the trigger and outside the trigger guard until your sights are on target and you have decided to fire. 4. Be certain of your target, what is in front of it, and what is beyond it. This range is backstopped by the valley itself, so know where the hillside rises and never take a shot that could crest it. ON THE LINE 1. Bring your own equipment. The club does not rent, loan, or sell firearms, bows, ammunition, or arrows to anyone — members, guests, or day-pass holders. The club provides the ranges, frames, backers, and targets; the gun or bow is yours to bring. 2. Eye and ear protection are required by everyone on or behind the firing line, including spectators. 3. Firearms are cased or actioned-open with a chamber flag anywhere other than the firing line. 4. Any person may call a cease-fire at any time for any reason. On 'CEASE FIRE,' unload, action open, chamber flag in, step behind the yellow line, and hands off. 5. Nobody handles a firearm while anyone is downrange. This includes putting a rifle away in its case. 6. Shoot only at approved club targets and frames. No glass, no electronics, no exploding targets, no unauthorized steel. 7. Do not shoot the club's AR500 steel with armor-piercing or steel-core ammunition, or with any rifle load leaving the muzzle faster than 3,000 feet per second. Those rounds crater and pit the plate, and a cratered plate throws fragments back at the firing line instead of shedding them sideways. Magnum rifle loads over that threshold go on paper. 8. If you are not certain of your load's muzzle velocity, look it up on the box or ask before you shoot steel. A single fast round permanently ruins a plate for everyone. 9. Do not shoot target frames, posts, hangers, roof supports, or the ground short of the backstop. 10. Rapid fire is permitted only when you are alone on the line and have announced it. 11. Pick up your brass, your paper, your staples, and your trash before you leave. Leave the position cleaner than you found it. ARCHERY RANGE 1. The archery range is a separate line from the firearms ranges. Never carry a bow onto the firearms line or a firearm onto the bow line. 2. Shoot only into the hay bales or the animal targets. Never shoot over a bale, past the target line, or at anything the club has not set up as a target. 3. Check behind and beyond the backstop before every shot. A pass-through or a skipped arrow travels much further than people expect. 4. Broadheads are permitted on the hay bales only. Use field points on the animal targets — broadheads destroy them. 5. Nobody goes forward to pull arrows until everyone on the line has finished shooting and bows are down. 6. Draw only toward the targets. Never draw a bow toward a person, and never dry-fire. 7. Pull your own arrows and account for every one. Report a lost arrow so nobody finds it with a mower or a boot. 8. Inspect arrows for cracks and check nocks before shooting. A damaged arrow can come apart on release and injure you. 9. Eye protection is recommended on the bow line, and required for crossbows. ACCESS & CONDUCT 1. Your gate access — entry code, RFID card, or mobile credential — is yours alone. Never share it, never prop the gate, and confirm the gate has latched behind you. 2. Sign in every visit, including the range you are using and your departure time. 3. Non-members check in at the range check-in window before going to the line. It is on the deck of the large white and black shop, near the range entry gate. 4. It is the sponsoring member's responsibility to make sure every guest has completed the online day pass and signed the waiver BEFORE arriving. A guest without a signed waiver does not shoot. 5. Every guest must be checked in, must have a signed waiver on file, and must stay within arm's reach of the sponsoring member. 6. One free guest per member per visit. Any additional guest must purchase a day pass. Guests may not bring guests. 7. No alcohol, cannabis, or impairing substances on the Property. If you have been drinking, you are done shooting for the day. 8. Operating hours are dawn to dusk. The exterior property gate is opened at dawn and closed at dusk by club staff — plan your departure so you are not shut in. 9. The rifle range is closed for the entire November firearms deer portion. Hunting continues; shooting on the range does not. 10. Overnight access is only for Airbnb guests, hunters, and campers who have purchased that package. Membership alone does not include it. 11. Speed limit on club roads is 15 mph. Park in designated areas only. 12. Report any damage, unsafe condition, or rule violation to a board member the same day. HUNTING & HABITAT 1. A current Missouri hunting license and all applicable permits are required. Club membership is not a permit. 2. During the youth deer portions, a youth hunter must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times. The adult stays with the youth — supervision from a neighbouring stand, or by another member standing in, does not satisfy this. 3. Hunting is by annual draw only. Stand assignments are posted before the season and are not transferable. 4. Outside the November firearms portion, hunt only from the assigned stands on the hill south of the main creek. That high ground sits above the firing line, which crosses the creek below it. 5. Do not travel downhill to creek level while the range is live. The shooting lane runs along the creek bottom — losing elevation puts you in it. Stay on the hill, and if you must leave your stand, go up and away from the creek, never down toward it. 6. During the November firearms portion the range is closed. Elevation no longer protects you from anything, but the creek-bottom rule lifts only because nobody is shooting. 7. Harvest limit is one buck and one doe per person, per season. This is a club limit, stricter than the state's — Missouri permits allowing more do not raise it, and it applies across every portion and every slot you hold. 8. Observe the club's antler restriction as published each August. Report every harvest within 24 hours. 9. Treestands must be inspected annually and a full-body harness is required from the ground up, every time. 10. No permanent stands, blinds, or lanes may be cut without written board approval. 11. Stay off food plots and out of assigned areas that are not yours during the season. 12. Field dressing is done at the game-cleaning station, not in the timber and not at the clubhouse.
